01 · The challenge
Agricultural residue streams in the region were largely landfilled or burned openly, while nearby industrial energy consumers faced rising gas prices and decarbonization pressure. The project needed a conversion route that could guarantee stable output from a heterogeneous, seasonal fuel.
02 · TOKEF approach
Feedstock characterization programme to establish seasonal variation in moisture, ash and calorific value.
Technology screening and reactor selection matched to the residue mix rather than a fixed vendor platform.
Heat and mass balance modelling to size the energy recovery train against verified demand profiles.
Emissions engineering to keep NOx and particulate emissions within strict limits from first fire.
